Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • All submissions are subject to review by the Editorial Team. All manuscripts must meet Author guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (if so, please provide an explanation in the Comments section of your submission).
  • The text is single-spaced, uses a 12-point font, employs italics rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or RTF document file format.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

All authors shall provide all contributors of their research credit into the body of work being submitted. Submitted research must be original work and meet the following guidelines:

  •      Research shall be original work
  •      Be between 2,500 to 6,000 words in length (including footnotes)
  •      Paper shall have a Title
  •       The research topic shall pertain to the field of International Relations, Global Security, 
  •      Abstract (maximum of 150 words). Note that your Abstract will be published.
  •      Keywords page - to define abbreviated acronyms and field-specific terms 
    • (e.g., MDGs = Millennium Development Goals, United Nations) 
  •       Research shall be free of spelling and grammar errors
  •      All authors and supporting research materials used shall be credited
  •      Research shall be properly formatted in the latest version of APA, MLA, or CMS format.
