International Relations Theory is an academic field of study. It is the study of International Relations, and can be defined as: “the study of relations between states, international organizations, and certain sub-national entities (e.g., bureaucracies, political parties, and interest groups). It encompasses other academic disciplines such as political science, geography, history, economics, law, sociology, psychology, and philosophy. (Pflatzgraff, R. & McClelland, C.A., 2019).
